Learn the content, not the card.
RephraMED uses AI to automatically rephrase your Anki flashcards so you recognize the concept in any form — not just the wording you've seen a hundred times.
RephraMED plugs directly into Anki. No new app to learn, no workflow change.
Type y in the Rephrase field, or tap the toggle while reviewing. Mark as many or as few as you like.
Hit Rephrase in the Tools menu. Your flagged cards are sent in batches to our server and rephrased by Claude AI in seconds.
A review panel shows the original and rephrased side-by-side. Approve, retry for a new variation, or revert — your call.
RephraMED is built around your existing Anki workflow — not a replacement for it.
Set RephraMED to automatically rephrase your flagged cards every few days. Open Anki and it's already done — no manual triggering required.
Focus rephrasing on cards you've already seen many times. RephraMED can specifically target mature cards (21+ day interval) — the ones most at risk of pattern memorization.
Not happy with a rephrase? Every original card is saved. Revert individual cards from the review panel, or use Revert All in settings to restore your entire deck in one click.
Don't like a rephrase? Hit Retry to get a completely new variation on the spot, without leaving the review panel. Retries never count against your weekly quota.
Hit Shift+R while reviewing any card to instantly toggle its rephrase flag — no need to open the editor. There's also a one-tap button in the More menu for mouse users.
Every successfully rephrased card gets a Rephrased tag added automatically, so you can filter, search, and track your progress across your deck.
We're onboarding a small group of medical students to help shape RephraMED before public launch. Spots are limited.
